Congratulations to the 2016 National Champs Cleveland Cavaliers!

I am 48 years old, born in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio and I thought I would never see a major Cleveland sports team win a championship in my lifetime.  It still is a shock to me.

I served honorably in the USAF for 9 years (1989-1998).  I was stationed at Lowry, AFB in Denver, Colorado and at Patrick AFB in AFTAC.

I left the Air Force to become a teacher.  I no longer teach and I am semi-retired working part time for UPS and handling personal investments.  I met my wife, Cindy as I was leaving from the USAF and have been happily married for 17 years.  She is an occupational therapist and was working with children with disabilities in the schools in Brevard Schools now she works part-time with mostly senior citizens with low-vision problems.

My son and daughter went to Sherwood Elementary.  They now are at West Shore Junior/Senior High School, my daughter is 15 going into 11th grade and my son is 14 and will be going into 9th.

Both are doing well in school, my daughter is an artist and my son is a musician.  They are your typical teenagers spending way too much time on the computer and phone.

My wife stays busy with the children volunteering and driving them to piano lessons, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, dancing, etc.

As a teacher I believe I made a positive difference in my students' lives. I hope I can make greater positive difference in education by becoming the next school board member.  I would love Brevard Schools to be the model for what education should be.  We are just about there.
